HEALTH SAFETY SECURITY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY

 
Safety and operations integrity are the foundation of our business. Nothing is more important. We hold our commitment to excellence in safety, security, and health in the workplace as a core value- one that shapes decision aking at every level. 
 
This commitment is documented in our safety, health and environment policies and security expectations and security expectations, which are implemented through our frameworks. Both contractors and employees are required to follow these expectations as a condition of engagement. We have deployed enhancements to our policies including expectation related to leadership, process safety, and assessment of our effectiveness.
 
Moni-Smart Energy Ltd, as part of its corporate policy considers health, safety, security and environment issues to have equal status with other business objectives. We value our employees, contractors, customers and the environment and communities in which we live and operate in.
 
We ensure that all our projects are properly planned and executed with special considerations to the protection of lives and the environment.
 
We will manage HSSE through the following activities:
1. Elimination of all forms of hazards and the preservation of the health and safety of our employees, sub- contractors and third parties.
2. Maintenance of plant and equipment in safe and proper condition.
3. Investigation of any accident to ascertain causes in order to eliminate them and forestall future occurrence.
4. Ensuring our sub-contractors strictly comply with the terms of this policy.
5. Ensuring employees, especially new employees, have relevant information and training on health and safety.
6. Ensuring employees can do their jobs, and are properly trained.
7. Recognition of excellence in safety and the provision of a safe and secure work environment.
8. Establishment of a good rapport with the members of the host communities and other persons that may be affected by Moni-Smart Energy Ltd activities.
9. Regularly reviewing this policy and making changes if necessary.
 
Stipulated penalty in accordance with company regulations shall be employed, should there be a violation of HSSE Policy.
